Jean-Sebastien Monzani was born in France in 1975. He moved to Switzerland in 1993 were he studied Computer Science at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and finally obtained in 2002 his PhD in Computer Graphics.

He started photography in 2000, mainly focusing on portraits - and it still remains one of his favourite subject now. He opened his website simplemoment.com in 2002 so that he could showcase his work.

Its name roots in Antoine de St Exupery's sentence: "Perfection in design is not achieved when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing more to remove." Likewise, Jean-Sebastien's
pictures always focus on simplicity and elegance.

Appart from portraits, his current work fields include night photography, abstractions and even fineart digital manipulation.
