I was born (1976) in Moscow where I was born and raised. When I was 17,5
years old, I moved to Holland where I live since. I am thankful I was
granted to experience two different cultures, the Russian and the Dutch, and
both cultures are reflected in me in many ways. My work is characterized by
mysterious Russian accents in combination with Dutch directness.

Photography to me is a way to register very characteristic expressions that
can and will never be repeated and occur again in a similar way. Exploring
the boundary between reality and fiction, and leaving this judgment to ones
own imagination. Life and everything that comes with it is as it is, though
anyone gives his or her own color and impression to it. Life is filled with
surprises and words are to limited to illustrate life and all aspects that
belong to it.
