Cheryl Anne Day-Swallow Photog. Cr., FDAE

A.K.A. Happy Day

Cheryl is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. John A Rousselle. She was born in New York in 1964. She was raised in Largo Florida and now resides in Saint Petersburg Florida.

Cheryl attended photo classes at Saint Petersburg Jr. College in 1993 under the instruction of Miss Terry Rogal.

She had no idea that in 1997 she would loose her Federal job after 15 years, do to complications of multiple health problems. After loosing her job, it was then she decided to take a closer look into this art called photography.

In 1998 she decided to go back to school. This time she attended PTEC for Commercial Photography under the instruction of Mr. Terry Allison.

In 1999 Cheryl started working towards her a digital masters degree as well as her photographic masters degree through the Professional Photographers of America and The Florida Professional Photographers Association. Since then she has received honors in numerous competitions local, state and nationally.

In 1999 Cheryl was honored, being named Photographer of the Year by the Tampa Area Professional Photographers Association.

She earned her Photographic Craftsman Award from Professional Photographers of America in 2001. Also to her surprise Cheryl was named Digital Artist of the Year by the Florida Professional Photographers Association.

Again in 2002 she was awarded Digital Artist of the Year for the state of Florida, by the Florida Professional Photographers Association.

In 2003 Cheryl received her Florida Degree of Artistic Excellence from The Florida Professional Photographers Association.

She is a member of Florida Professional Photographers Association, South Eastern Professional Photographers Association, The Art Center, The Suntan Gallery, F-8 & being there group @The Packinghouse Gallery, The Fine Art Museum St. Petersburg, Robert Farbers Photo workshop, The Photographic Society of America and attends church at Calvary Chapel St. Petersburg.

Her photographic works published can be found in,greeting cards, newspapers, postal communicators, promotion work for models, album covers, web sites, book covers, web sites,and 3 international photographic books.

Her other interest include: making beads, singing, playing guitar, crocheting and doing crafts with her friends and family. She also enjoys spending time with her husband James Alan Swallow.
